Dexter the Right Handed Mini

Dexter's Latest Woes...

Well, not surprisingly, Dexter is having electrical problems.  Not terribly unusual, considering Lucas Electrics is widely known as The Prince of Darkness.

Tosser Broke My Windscreen!!!

Dexter's broken windscreenSome bastard tossed a rock at Dexter's windscreen, while he was just sitting in his little parking spot at home.  He was doing no harm to anyone, minding his own business, when some malicious youth (well, who else would do such a thing) tossed a rock and made a frosty looking mess of the windscreen.Dester's fractured windscreen

As a long time fan of The Fall and Rise of Reginald Perrin, my mind keeps channelling Major James Anderson (expelled) when he was chasing off some thugs: "Peace and love, you bastards! Peace and love!!!"  I had stonger words when I first noticed this...

Oddly, this is not the first time I've had a car vandalized.  I used to own a Renault 5 (aka, the Le Car) that had it's antenna snapped, back left window bashed in, and the vynly sun roof stolen - not to mention the number plate was stolen.  Unfortunately, this was pre-internet and finding parts was a pain.  Luckily, in these more connected times, I can find the parts easily - but it's still a pain in the [insert your favorite body part].

Ouch...

I knew that Dexter was going to require some attention upon arrival (as all new arrivals do...) but I wasn't expecting to have to do major work to the bake system quite so soon.

Dexter Stays Home...

Unfortunately, Dexter has to stay home in bed for a few days. His braking system needs attention, and we have to order the parts. Luckily the nice people at MiniMania sell the parts.

If I am lucky, Dexter will be up and rolling by the weekend.

Dexter's First Doctor's Visit...

Dexter is a funny little boy. He doesn't know quite how to stop. He did so well during his first day in the City in the South of the Bay, then as night began to fall he started to loose his restraint. Unfortunately this resulted in a cracked number plate - but no other injuries (to him or his passengers.)

So today he is seeing Doctor Midas about this problem, and while he's there his fluids will be changed out as well.
